A representative from the Dallas County Hospital discusses one area that is pretty common this time of year.

Registered Nurse Population Health Coach Dawn Waters tells Raccoon Valley Radio that diabetes management is the biggest area she works with. She explains her goal is to help patients manage their blood sugars without having to draw their blood. Waters demonstrates that most people are reluctant to get their finger poked, and speaks on how the Continued Glucose Monitor helps in that aspect.

“They get it (information) all day long. They can see what’s going on, and it has impacted so many people so positively in managing their blood sugar.”

Waters adds that she works by assisting patients on becoming comfortable with understanding the upside of the technology that helps identify these areas.
