With the recent severe weather, Governor Kim Reynolds has included Dallas County in the Disaster Proclamation for the state of Iowa.

According to a press release, the proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of severe weather, and to utilize the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program.

The release states that the grant program provides funding of up to $5,000 for households with incomes up to 200% of the federal poverty level. Governor Reynolds has now issued 45 of Iowa’s 99 counties with the Disaster Proclamation with the amount of severe weather the state has seen.
