The Perry Public Library is holding an exciting event on Saturday to propel into the summer.
The library is hosting its Annual KidsFest Saturday from 10:30am-1:30pm to signify the kickoff to summer. According to Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper, the event will feature a foam blaster, balloon twister, family photos, dunk tank, a Giant Connect Four game, as well as a petting zoo. Pieper explains that KidsFest benefits the Perry Volunteer Fire Department with a couple of other businesses assisting.
“The Perry Volunteer Fire Department always uses this as their big fundraiser, so there’s going to be one dollar meals. HyVee donates hamburger and hotdog buns, Fareway donates bottles of water. So, you’ll get a hotdog or pork loin donated by Tyson and a bag of chips and a cookie.”
Pieper emphasizes that the event is free with no registration required to participate. Additional questions can be directed to the Perry Library by visiting https://perry-ia.whofi.com/calendar/event/5255193?method=embed or calling (515)-465-3569.
