The AC/GC Chargers softball team fell in their first regular home game of the season.

The team held the Ogden Bulldogs scoreless in the first and second innings, but also were unable to score themselves. In the third inning, the Bulldogs put up two runs, and kept the Chargers scoreless once again, before AC/GC shut out their opponent in the fourth inning, and stacked up three runs for the 3-2 lead. In the fifth inning, Ogden secured four more runs to go up 6-3, and the Chargers were kept scoreless in the bottom of the inning.

AC/GC then allowed five runs in the last two innings, while only securing one more of their own, and dropping the game 11-8. Several Charger performed well at the plate, with three doubles from pitcher Emerson Van Meter, along with doubles from Carley and Belle Fagan, and a triple from Jenna Rowley. Van Meter also performed well from the mound, striking out seven opponents. The team returns to action Thursday, as they host the Earlham Cardinals in a varsity doubleheader.

The baseball team also faced the Bulldogs, keeping things tied into the third inning, where the Bulldogs went up a run to lead 4-3. Both team scored in the fourth, upping the score 5-4. The teams were both scoreless in the fifth, and in the sixth, the Bulldogs racked up seven runs while only allowing 1, and the Chargers fell 12-5 after neither team scored in the final inning.
