The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer team came up short in penalty kicks against Pella in the Class 2A Regional Championship on Thursday.

The Tigers battled hard but ultimately fell to the Dutch in penalty kicks as the 2024 season ends prior to state. Pella scored the first goal in the first half to lead 1-0. In the second half, the Dutch scored another one but ADM capitalized on two goals to tie things. The teams headed to two extra periods but neither scored, which then advanced to penalty kicks. Pella got the deciding kick to end ADM’s season and opportunity to get to the state tournament.

The Tigers finished the season 9-8 overall (6-2 inside the Raccoon River Conference) where they were third behind Gilbert and North Polk. ADM graduates six seniors: Helen Kirk, Sydney Kuhse, Jordis Ichelson, Brooklyn Bailey, Marissa Gerleman, and Hope Denevi.
