Recent Greene County High School graduate Gavin Scheuermann recently signed a Letter of Intent to attend Grand View University (Des Moines) and join the wrestling team. All four years of high school he qualified for Iowa High School State Tournaments, placing sixth in Class 2A at 152 lbs. as a senior.

The Vikings are a powerhouse in men’s NAIA wrestling, winning numerous National Championships in the last decade. Scheuermann is projected to wrestle at 157-165 for the Vikings.

Zach Beekman was head coach of the Rams during Scheuermann’s first three years of high school, with Kirk Davis leading the program in 2023-24.
