With the release of the newest drought report by the US Drought Monitor, a majority of the state is no longer facing drought conditions.
The northern half of Dallas and Guthrie Counties, along with the southern edge of Greene County are seeing abnormally dry conditions, while the rest of each county is no longer seeing drought conditions. According to the National Weather Service, as of Thursday Guthrie Center has seen 7.99 inches of precipitation, and usually records 3.89 inches. Jefferson has reported 6.88 inches of precipitation, while usually seeing 3.66 inches, and Dallas County has recorded four inches of precipitation, but usually reports 3.27 inches.
