A disasters 6th inning doomed the Jayettes in their first home game. Perry fell to Roland-Story Wednesday night 13-7. The Jayettes struck first with 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Both teams would scratch a run across the plate in the 3rd to make the score 4-1. As action went to the 6th, Perry led 5-3. The wheels would come off as the Norsemen would plate 10 girls in the 6th and take a commanding 13-5 lead. Perry would score 2 in the seventh to make the final, 13-7. Karagyn Whelchel, Sydney Barkley, and Kalley Whelchel each had two hits. Perry combined for 8 hits in the loss. They would also commit 6 errors. Tunik got the start going 5 1/3 innings, giving up 8 runs all unearned, and striking out 4.
Perry sits at 1-1 and returns to action tonight as South Hamilton comes to town. KDLS will have the game. Pregame set for 5:45P and first pitch at 6P.
