A Des Moines man was recently sentenced to prison and probation for driving drunk in Greene County.

According to court documents, 30-year-old Noel Bartusek pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for an OWI. He had all but 30 days of a five year prison sentence suspended and will be placed on probation for three years with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.

The charge stemmed from an incident on January 24th. A Greene County Deputy responded to a car crash that dispatch had been notified about from an iPhone when the driver wasn’t responding. The deputy found the driver, Bartusek in the 100 block of 110th Street in Churdan as he was 30 feet from his vehicle and passed out in the snow. The deputy noticed signs of intoxication and Bartusek consented to a field sobriety test and failed.

Court documents show that Bartusek was also ordered to pay over $3,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and other fees.
