Dallas County saw heavy precipitation and strong winds Tuesday afternoon with tornadoes issued in the listening area.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team was live with coverage as the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for South Central Dallas County at 3:40pm initially until 4:30pm. A flood watch was issued at 3:50pm near the North Raccoon River near Perry and from the Greene-Dallas County line to Adel. The Minburn Fire Department reported debris falling from the sky including metal and wood approximately one foot in size at 4:12pm, and small debris was spotted falling from the sky two miles north of Perry.

At 4:18pm, the National Weather Service reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado located near Adel, moving northeast at 45 mph. The weather service expired the warning for Dallas County at 4:41pm. Damage was found to be assessed on the corner of Highway 44 and County Road P58 where a roof ripped off a residential shed. Also, there was over a dozen pieces of sheet metal spotted near 128th Street and El Paso Avenue.
