
With Memorial Day weekend coming up and the school year wrapping up, people are planning to be outside and one popular amenity in Jefferson has been decided on its opening date.
Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Denny Hammen tells Raccoon Valley Radio the opening day for the Jefferson Municipal Pool is Tuesday, May 28th.
“We’re going to train our lifeguards during that weekend. So we should be ready to go on the 28th. That is probably the earliest we’ve opened since I’ve been managing the pool, so we’re pretty excited about that.”
The times that the pool will be open include 11:30am-1pm for adult lap swim, 1-5pm is open swim and family swim time is from 5-7pm. The daily admission price is $6 for adults and kids up to 17 years old is $5. Seasonal passes include a child pass that is from ages three to 17 is $70, senior rate for those 65 and older is $60, an adult pass is $85 and a family pass is $150.
