The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track & Field team are 2024’s Class 3A State Champions.
The Tigers represented well at the state track meet in Drake Stadium with Junior Madi James (1:07.13) and Sophomore Elise Coghlan (1:07.90) finished fifth and eighth in the 400 meter hurdles, Sophomore Madelyn Roundcount went 18th in the 400 meters (1:01.89), Sophomore Lauren Hagedorn was sixth in the girls discus at 120-07, with Junior Taylor Braun 23rd (99-01), and Freshman Cora Shirley-Brown was 21st in the 1500 (5:22.86). Junior London Warmuth won the high jump at 5-08, while Junior Aniston Tollari sixth in the long jump (17-04.25) and Junior Calli Seehase in 17th (15-11.50). Junior Kennedy Stanford was seventh in the shot put (37-02.50).
In the relays, the girls 1600 meter sprint medley was 20th (4:25.25), the 4×100 was fourth (49.28), and the girls shuttle hurdle finished first accomplishing a new ADM School record of 1:04.20. The 4×200 meter relay captured fourth running 1:43.61, the 4×400 was also fourth (4:00.24) and the 4×800 meter relay tallied 14th (10:01.04). The Tigers scored a total of 48 points to beat out MOC-Floyd Valley and Sioux Center to become the Class 3A Champs.
