One of the big topics for the Adair – Casey and Guthrie Center School Board meetings for May included technology.
AC/GC Superintendent Josh Rasmussen mentions that both districts covered technology purchases, including new computers for staff and students. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the GC Board also approved a purchase using funds from a state grant.
“Through the Safety Grant that the Governor’s Office created about a year and a half ago, we’re able to purchase some new phone systems and cabling just to improve some safety features, specifically communication within each of our buildings.”
Rasmussen shares that the GC Board also approved a printer and copier lease agreement to continue the current contract they are using. He mentions that they will also be selling the old staff and student computers, first offering to sell them to staff members and students first, then sell the remainder to members of the public.
