The West Central Valley Wildcat baseball team had their season opener on Monday and hosted the Audubon Wheelers. Landon Osberg took the mound for the Wildcats and had a great outing, pitching 5 innings while notching in 8 strike outs against the Wheelers achieving a win and a shut out in his first outing of the season. The Wildcats shined on both sides of the ball, scoring 8 runs to secure an 10-0 victory, notching in 3 runs in the first to start the action off with a bang. The Wildcats would score 2 more runs in the second, with the action calming down for the Wildcats until Osberg departed in the fifth. The Wildcats would find a new fire in the bottom of the fifth, scoring 5 more runs to secure the 10-0 victory.

The Wildcats prepare to travel to Martensdale-St. Marys to take on the Blue Devils on Thursday starting at 6PM.
