More research is looking to be done into a natural conservation wildlife area exemption at the Dallas County Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.

Dallas County resident Micah Knutson presented the board with the exemption on his property for nine and a half acres of land to care for wildlife in Adel. Supervisors  Mark Hanson and Kim Chapman thanked Knutson for his consideration but expressed they had more questions than answers. After extensive discussion, Supervisor Chair Brad Golightly decided that more research was needed before proceeding with a decision.

Other items on the agenda that were approved include an agreement to add the Bolton & Menk Drainage Watchman Services, resolutions for local budget certification and township budgets certification as presented, and the Heart of Iowa Community Services 28E agreement.

In addition, the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department gave an update that work is being completed on 260th Street in Waukee for a Bus Barn for the Waukee School District and that four culverts have been installed near Dawson on Iowa Highway 141.
