As the t-ball, baseball and softball seasons are underway with the Greene County Youth Athletic Association, umpires are needed to officiate games.

GCYAA Board President Travis Warnke says anyone who would like to volunteer and help umpire any of the games must be at least of high school age and have a good knowledge and understanding of each of the sports they are umpiring. Warnke notes there are 230 kids that have registered for the three programs and there are a number of other volunteer opportunities that can be found on their website at gcyaa.org.
