Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School’s Drama Department has some thrilling news.

Vocal Director Kelsey Dinkla shares that their spring musical “Tuck Everlasting” has received several recognitions. The musical received Distinguished Scene for “Story of the Tucks,” while Andrew Mahaffey and Haedyn Grasty received Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role for their characters “Jesse Tuck” and “Mae Tuck” respectively.

Dinkla mentions that Mahaffey also was been invited to perform an excerpt from his roll, and to participate in the Triple Threat Awards Program which will happen shortly before the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Showcase on May 30th. She adds that Carter Dinkla and Tanner Downing will also perform a collaborative inter-school medley during the Finale at the Showcase.
