A local organization in Perry recently wrapped up an annual event, where they were able to bring joy to over 300 residents.

Perry Lutheran Homes held its fourth annual “Project Deliver the Love” on May 2nd, which saw 350 older adults receive gifts. According to Perry Lutheran Homes, volunteers helped transform ordinary items into heartwarming goodie bags that were given to residents in Perry and throughout Dallas County to spread love. 

The bags featured fresh fruit, canned goods, sweet treats, and handwritten notes of encouragement, prayer devotionals, activity books, and prayer crosses crafted by Perry Lutheran Homes. The organization revealed that $14,000 was raised for the Meals on Wheels program.
