1:28pm: Shawn DeMoss reported a Stray Dog at the GCSD Bus Building. The officers placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

2:00pm: Officers investigated a Dog Bite in the 400 Block of East McKinley Street. A mail carrier placed a package on the front steps of a residence. The door must not have been completely latched and the dog was able to get the door open. As the carrier ran to her delivery vehicle, the animal bit her lower leg causing injury. According to city animal ordinance, the animal has been deemed “Illegal” and must leave the city limits after being microchipped.
