A reminder that the Dallas County Health Department is currently offering a survey to residents to identify areas of health concerns and the time frame is ending soon.
According to Community Health Educator Natalie Peters, the department is conducting a community health assessment to gather data on the health status of Dallas County. She explains that the department uses that information to help navigate the health improvement activities for the next three years. The last assessment was done in 2021, and Peters shares the results of that survey.
“In Dallas County, our top priority for health improvement in 2021 were access to care, mental health, nutrition and physical activity, heart disease and stroke, and substance use.”
Peters says the survey includes residents from not only Dallas County, but Warren and Polk Counties as well. The deadline to take the survey is Friday, May 24th. To access the survey, visit https://www.prcsurvey.com/response/participate?proj=2023043302&int=1083.
