Both the Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls soccer teams were on the field on Tuesday night in Little Hawkeye Conference play against the Newton Cardinals, and both clubs were able to grab quick wins, the girls winning 8-0 and the boys 4-1. DCG girls move to 9-3 on the year and the boys go to double figure wins at 10-4.

On the girls side, DCG was able to score four goals in the first half and four in the second half as the Mustangs were able to be surgical in their attack against Newton. The boys were in a battle in the first half with the game knotted up at 1 at halftime, but they were able to score three goals in the next half and find a quality win in the process.

Both soccer teams will be on the field at 7 pm on Friday night, with the boys at home against Muscatine while the girls will be on the road against Gilbert.
