The regular season ended on Monday for the Greene County Rams boys’ golf team and the Class 3A postseason begins tomorrow. Coach Kyle Kinne’s Rams hosted Madrid and Grand View Christian (Des Moines) yesterday at Jefferson Community Golf Course and the Rams shot 332 for 18 holes, good for first place over GVC with 375 and Madrid at 408.
Greene County seniors Jack Hansen and Nathan Behne went one-two with Hansen the medalist at 78 and Behne the runner-up with 83 strokes. Others having scores count in the team total for the Rams were sophomore Broc Stream at 84, followed by sophomore Carter Hinote 87.
The Rams play in a Sectional Tournament at Whispering Woods Golf Course at Council Bluffs tomorrow at 10 a.m. and qualifying teams and individuals advance to the Atlantic Golf & Country Club on May 13 for District competition.
