It is National Nurses Week and Greene County Medical Center is celebrating with a special ceremony.

The Partner of Nursing and the DAISY Awards will be announced at 1:30pm on Thursday in the main lobby of the medical center. The Partner of Nursing Award began in 2020 as a way to recognize team members that help nurses about their commitment, care, compassion and collaboration that brings results for the highest levels of patient-centered care. There are seven individuals who have been nominated this year.

Next is the DAISY Award, which is given to a nurse who exemplifies extraordinary patient care. There are 15 individuals who are nominated this year and they represent Public Health, the Family Medicine and Specialty Clinics and Greene County Medical Center’s Acute, Emergency and Surgery departments.

Thursday’s ceremony is open to the public. A full list of the nominees for both the Partner of Nursing and the DAISY Awards can be found below.
