The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track & Field team claimed first place as the Raccoon River Conference Champions for the first time in 13 years.

The Tigers scored a total of 180 points as they beat out eight other teams in the RRC. The relays featured ADM finishing first in the 4×100 meters (42.96), 4×200 (1:29.37), the 800 medley (1:34.78), and the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle. The Tigers finished third in the 4×400 (3:31.24) and the 1600 medley (3:45.23), then fifth in the 4×800 (8:27.61).

For the individual events, Seniors Brevin Doll (10.60) and Aiden Flora (10.69) went one-two in the 100 meter dash. The pair also captured the top two spots in the 200 (21.70 for Doll & 21.77 for Flora). Junior Grant Engleman racked up a third place finish on the 400 meters (50.80) and Senior Sam Peters (2:12.35) and Freshman Brayden Davison (2:12.23) finished in the top 15 in the 800. ADM Junior Torin Timmerman ran a 4:41 in the mile (sixth place) and was fifth in the 3200 meters (10:21.63). For the 110 meter hurdles, Senior Luke Krantz (15.57) and Junior Corbin Reed (15.78) finished third and fourth with Senior Zach Lohmann (54.40) in second and Junior Keaton Kier (58.59) in fifth for the 400 meter hurdles.

The field events featured Senior Tyler Gelhaar racking up second place in the long jump (21-04.50) and ADM’s Reed in sixth (19-11.50). The high jump saw Junior Kyler Chapman (6-00.00) finish in second and Junior Will Grasty (5-10.00) picked up fourth.  Senior Drew Hickey won the shot put at 53-02.50 with Junior Caleb Oberhoffer tallying sixth (43-11.50). Hickey was also the winner of the discus throw (153-11) and Senior Ryan Entriken (137-00) finished in third.

Next up for ADM will be a meet in Atlantic battling against seven teams on Thursday, May 9th starting at 4pm.
