The Heart of Iowa’s boys’ golf conference tournament was held on Tuesday at Lincoln Valley Golf Course east of State Center hosted by West Marshall. Coach Kyle Kinne’s Greene County Rams shot 346 for 18 holes and finished in fifth place. PCM (Monroe) won the 18 hole event with a score of 306, followed by Nevada 312, South Hamilton (Jewell) 338, Roland-Story (Story City) 345, Rams 346, West Marshall 364, and Saydel (Des Moines) 371. Perry did not have a full team.
The Rams were led by seniors Nathan Behne and Jack Hansen, both with rounds of 80. Sophomore Nathan Towers shot 90 with freshman Landon Vote at 94.
Four golfers from the conference shot 75 with medalist honors going to Parker Rogers of Nevada. The runner-up was Charlie Ford of PCM.
The Heart of Iowa girls’ conference tournament is scheduled for today, also at State Center’s Lincoln Valley Golf Course.
