A supplemental foods program update was presented at the Dallas County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.
Polk County Supplemental Foods mentioned that during the month of April, the organization served 113 senior citizens in Dallas County. The organization allows residents to apply for benefits for food assistance with drop sites in Perry, Adel, and Dallas Center.
Additionally, there were two items on the agenda that were approved including a resolution for a Dallas County Secondary Roads wetland credit allocation for an individual permit for the Dawson Road project and the appointing of two sheriff’s deputies.
