Coach Chad Morton’s Greene County high school boys’ track & field squad placed fourth among 10 teams on Thursday night at Roland-Story’s Norsemen Relays in Story City. Nevada was first with 131.5 points, just ahead of R-S at 131. Ballard (Huxley) had 114 with 104 by the Rams, followed by Aplington-Parkersburg 86.5, Ogden 57, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 14, 10 for the Norsemen JV, and two points from Woodward Academy.
Winning the only event for the Rams was sophomore Broc Stream in the long jump at 20′ 1,” a personal best by one inch. The 4 x 100 meter relay unit of senior Trey Schilling, junior Nick Stream, Broc Stream, and sophomore Nick Madsen were second in a season best time of :44.47. The Rams will run the 4 x 100 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines tomorrow.
