Greene County’s high school golf teams will host the Keith Vander Wilt Memorial Golf Tournament at The Hill west of Grand Junction on Saturday, May 11. Registration is at 10 a.m. with play starting at 11 a.m. The event is a four-person best shot tourney. Call The Hill at 515-738-2633 to register a team.

Vander Wilt began teaching math and coaching in Jefferson in 1984 and continued until his 2013 retirement. A coach of a variety of sports, he had stints coaching boys and girls golf, girls’ basketball, and softball. He also worked for many years at The Hill.

Proceeds from the tournament will be used to purchase equipment for the golf teams at Greene County high.
