The Adel Public Library held its last garage sale earlier this month, and more than $1,000 was raised.

Patron Services Manager Amy Puck mentions that the library had a successful fundraiser, bringing in $1,600. She explains that the money stems from The Friends Foundation and helps out with the library’s children program. Puck expresses her gratitude to the community for volunteering their time and thanks people who donated money for the final garage sale.

“We want to thank everybody who donated items, who donated their time, as well as all those people who came to purchase treasures that they didn’t know they needed.”

Puck illustrates that the foundation is working on future fundraising events to replace the garage sale.
