Greene County played a high school girl/boy soccer twin bill in Logan on Monday vs. Logan-Magnolia. The teams split the non-conference matches with Lo-Ma winning 7-0 in the girls’ match and the Rams winning the boys’ match 9-0. The Panthers are 4-5 in girls’ soccer and 2-8 in boys. Greene County is 0-8 on the girls’ side and the boys improved to 6-1.

The Greene County boys have been playing shorthanded in recent matches and head coach Carl Behne told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s looking forward to having the full team back tonight when the Rams host Perry at Linduska Field in Jefferson at 7 p.m.. The Blue Jays are 7-3 and are riding a seven match winning streak. Last night the Rams had 41 shots with 24 on target. Nathan Behne had a career best five goals vs. L0-Ma and he added two assists. Carter Hinote had two goals and two assists with Lincoln Schwander collecting his first varsity goal, plus an assist. Jack Hansen had one goal, and Jacob Harmeyer and Kolby Angell each had one assist. Greene County led 4-0 ar halftime.

The Perry girls are 2-8 and the Jayettes and Rams will meet at Dewey Field in Perry today with the varsity match at 5:30 p.m. and JV to follow.
