The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved a tobacco permit renewal for Casey’s General Store and liquor permits for Prime Time Restaurant and Lucky Wife Wine Slushies, and fencing permits for 1003 Sprague Street and 2501 State Street. They also approved a workman’s compensation policy from EMC, the second reading of an ordinance pertaining to setoff program provisions, and the waiving of the third reading of the ordinance.

The Council then approved the adoption of the budget and certification of City taxes, a resolution setting a public hearing for the proposed sale of city interest in real estate and a survey at 907 Main Street. They also heard departmental reports from the streets department and City Hall.
