There is high school track & field and soccer on Greene County’s schedule today. The soccer teams travel to Logan in far western Iowa for a girl/boy doubleheader vs. Logan-Magnolia while the track teams go to two different meets.
The Rams are looking for the first girls’ soccer victory after falling at Webster City on Friday by a 6-0 score. Coach Maribel Hernandez’ team has scored only one goal this season and has an 0-7 record. L0-Ma is 3-5 in girls’ soccer and 2-7 in boys’ soccer. Coach Carl Behne’s Greene County boys are still playing shorthanded and are coming off a 1-0 loss last Thursday at Des Moines Christian in Urbandale. The Rams, ranked fifth in Class 2A, have a 5-1 record.
Coach Derek Merk’s girls’ track & field squad goes to Des Moines Christian for a meet today, and Coach Chad Morton’s track & field boys travel to Gilbert for the Bengal Relays.
