Raccoon Valley Radio was able to bring home some awards from the annual Iowa Broadcast News Association (IBNA) Awards Night on Saturday.
Greene County News Director Coltrane Carlson attended on behalf of the stations. The event regularly holds work sessions throughout the day that broadcasters from around the state are able to attend to brush up on and learn new news skills. Carlson brought home a 1st place plaque for Farm and Agriculture Small Market Radio, along with a 2nd place finish for his story “Attendance Matters at Green County Elementary” in the General Reporting Small Market Radio category. The IBNA convention takes place once a year, and recognizes work done by news personnel throughout the state over the previous year.
