Greene County ISU Extension recently hired two individuals to help this summer.
Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says Lizzy Allen has been hired as a part time Summer Program Coordinator.
“And she will be facilitating all of the day camps. So the day camps are the camps that they might not be so project-based, she will be handling all of those, I think she’s offering 19 this summer. So she’s going to be really busy, but she’s really excited to get started, and see the kids of Greene County, and just have a fun summer with them.”
Allen works as an associate at Paton-Churdan with the elementary students.
Hardaway adds that the Summer Assistant is going to be Katrina Heupel, who is a 2023 Greene County High School graduate and is currently a student at Iowa State University. Hardaway says Heupel will help her and Allen with summer programs, as well as this year’s county fair in July.
