The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track & Field team garnered the win at the Newton Meet on Thursday.
The Tigers scored a total of 151 points to pick up first place in front of Nevada and Grinnell. In the relays, ADM won the 4×400 meters, 4×800, and the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdles. They finished fourth in the 4×100, fourth in the 4×200, fifth in the 800 medley relay, and fifth in the 1600 medley.
Senior Brevin Doll (10.75) and Senior Aiden Flora (10.95) finished one-two in the 100 meter dash, Senior Zach Lohmann (22.56) finished second in the 200 meter dash with Junior Grant Engleman (23.04) in third in the 200. Freshman Parker Hook (54.98) picked up a fourth place in the 400 meters, and Senior Sam Peters (2:07.46) raced to fourth in the 800. Junior Torin Timmer (4:37.62) and Junior Matt Richardson (4:38.74) came in third and fourth in the 1600. Junior Corbin Reed was third in the 400 meter hurdles (59.67).
For the field events, Reed (19-08.50) was third in the long jump, and Freshman Reid Kluesner (6-00.00) won the high jump. Senior Drew Hickey (50-10.00) finished second in the shot put and discus (162-02) while Senior Ryan Entriken (137-03) finished fourth.
ADM will compete at Carlisle High School on Tuesday afternoon, starting at 4:15pm.
