The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track & Field team captured a first place finish Thursday in Newton.
The Tigers racked up 194 total points as they raced past runner up Pella. Starting in the relays, ADM won the 4×100 meters, 4×200, the 1600 medley, and the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle relay. They placed second in 4×400, 4×800, and third in the 800 medley relay.
In the individuals, Junior Jada Grove was second (12.63) in the 100 meter dash, while Senior Jordis Ichelson finished fifth (12.87), Sophomore Madelyn Roundcount tallied second in the 200 meters (27.92), and Sophomore Brenna Seidl (1:03.19) came in fourth in the 400 meters and Senior Madison Siefken (1:06.94) placed seventh. Freshman Cora Shirley-Brown ran a 5:15.94 in the 1500 meters putting her in third place and Freshman Allie Eggleston finished fifth (5:24.17), and second in the 3000 meters (11:24.55) with Senior Paige Mattes right behind in third (11:37.28). In the 400 meter hurdles, Junior Madi James captured a second place finish (1:08.88) with Sophomore Elise Coghlan in third (1:11.48).
The Tigers represented well in the field events with Junior Aniston Tollari (16-09.00) and Junior Calli Seehase (15-11.50) finished one-two in the long jump. Junior London Warmuth (5-00.00) and Roundcount were three-four in the high jump. For the shot put, Junior Kennedy Stanford threw 38-02.00 to win and Sophomore Lauren Hagedorn (119-01.50) and Junior Taylor Braun (117-03) got second and third in the discus.
ADM will be hosting a meet at Tiger Stadium on Tuesday, beginning at 4:30pm.
