This weekend is the Greene County High School Prom and lots of fun activities are planned.
This year’s theme is “A Night in Hollywood” and Junior Class President Kamden Kinne describes how the theme was selected.
“The way we decided this (year’s theme) is we took five options between a group of selected members and we came up with three options that we voted on amongst the school. And we decided on ‘A Night in Hollywood.’”
Saturday evening kicks-off with the Grand March at 6pm at the high school auditorium and that event is open to the public and it will be livestreamed on YouTube. The banquet with a pasta bar will be at the Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose Casino and Resort at 7pm, followed by the dance from 8-11pm. Students can then head back to the high school and board a bus at 11:45pm to be taken to After Prom at Perfect Games in Ames.
Kinne points out that the decision to go to Perfect Games for After Prom came through suggestions from students and Junior Class member Hailey Carman shares her thoughts about After Prom.
“I’m pretty excited. Everything there is going to be free and there’s going to be lots of opportunities like bowling and laser tag, and I believe there’s also going to be card games. So there’s just going to be a lot of stuff going on and a lot to do.”
