The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has a few events planned for the week.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that they’ve already had several fun programs and classes, and that they are continuing to do so. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that on Thursday, they’ll have their monthly cookbook club meeting, going over recipes from “Make it! Take it 2023.”

“So each month we highlight a different cookbook, and members come in and choose a recipe from the cookbook to make, and then the group meets every third Thursday of every month at 6:30pm here at the library. And they have a potluck feast, and they discuss how the recipe went. If they thought it was written out well, it was easy to understand, and if they enjoyed the recipe.”

Hawkins mentions that they will also have a card making class on Thursday as well, from 9-11am. She adds they’ll have their second to last Friday Story Hour on April 19th.
