The Perry School Board is looking for a custodial fund administrator to assist with the victims’ donations from the January 4th shooting at the high school.

According to Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks, the custodial funds is a system that manages donations coming in to support the victims. Wicks explains that $140,000 has been donated to people directly impacted from the tragedy, while close to $20,000 has been raised for Ahmir Jolliff’s fund. He notes that the board recently approved a custodial fund document, and states what the next steps are.

“We need to get custodial or a fund administrator that is not connected to the Perry Schools. After, the board would need to appoint either one fund administrator, maybe two, maybe three, and then they will decide the distribution of the custodial fund.”

Wicks emphasizes that this is a process to find someone that is interested in the role. His biggest concern is making sure that the process is being done correctly and searching for a candidate that is not apart of the Perry School District.
