Greene County Community Foundation

Tomorrow one entity in Greene County is going to give away over $245,000.

The Greene County Community Foundation is hosting the Grant Award Ceremony tomorrow at 4pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. According to the organization, there were 30 applications submitted and 22 were awarded partial funding for a total of $245,327. Greene County Community Foundation receives a majority of their funding from the non-gaming license holder of Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson, Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, of $175,000. The other portion of the grant funds are from the organization’s endowment, which up to five percent can be used, and that was a total of $70,327.
