A collaboration between a few organizations will be conducting a prescribed burn joint training exercise today in Dallas County.

The Dallas County Emergency Management Agency, along with the Bouton Fire Department and Iowa National Guard, is doing the training near Highway 141 and Odessa Place at noon (12pm). According to a press release, the goal of the exercise is to enhance coordination and evaluate response capabilities in emergency scenarios. 

The management agency explains that residents will witness increased presence of emergency vehicles and that efforts will be made to minimize disruptions. The exercise is set to last for approximately three hours and there will be a public viewing available at 25693 141st Street.
