The AC/GC Chargers hosted a track and field meet last night.
Athletes for the team competed well, with both teams taking overall first place for the meet. The girls were able to record 101 points on the night, while the boys collected 150.5. The girls had five top three finishes, while the boys had 12 top three finishes.
Ava Campbell was able to secure first in the 800 and 1500 meter races, which were two of the three gold medal performances, with the other one being the championship throw in shot put from Caydence Boals. For the boys, gold medal finishes came from Andrew Mahaffey in the 1600 and 3200 meter races, the 4X200, 4X800 and shuttle hurdle teams, and Payton Jacobe in shot put and Mason Wahl in discus. The shuttle hurdle and 4X400 meter relay teams performances were both record breakers for the school.
