A Scranton man was arrested on a warrant for an alleged March incident in Grand Junction.

According to court documents, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was notified on March 21st about a possible trespass and theft incident at the trailer park in Grand Junction at 800 Percival. The maintenance individual for the trailer park said 23-year-old Jessie Sanders and another individual pulling carpet from Sanders’ neighboring trailer home. That residence was being prepared for a new resident. The two men left the property when the maintenance person was at the property. The deputy estimated the damage to a cabinet and carpet to be $150.

On March 30th, the deputy interviewed Sanders and asked him about the events that happened at his neighboring trailer. Court documents show that Sanders denied being in that trailer, but that he was at his trailer or his grandfather’s house on the day in question. Sanders also told the deputy he didn’t know who the other man was when asked about him being there with Sanders in the trailer.

On April 4th, court documents show that the deputy interviewed the other man involved in the alleged incident. The individual admitted that he and Sanders were at the trailer on the day in question. He told the deputy that Sanders was removing items from the neighboring trailer to fix up his trailer. The man told Sanders that another person was going to move into the trailer and that Sanders should not be taking items from there.

Sanders was charged with a Class D Felony for third degree burglary and a simple misdemeanor for fifth degree criminal mischief. An arrest warrant was issued on April 9th and Sanders was arrested later that day and booked into the Greene County Jail under a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
