The Perry High School Vocal Music Department is bringing a famous cartoon to life this weekend.

The students are putting together a live version of “SpongeBob: The Musical.” The performances will take place on Friday and Saturday  at 7pm and Sunday  at 2pm. Drama Director Randy Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio exactly what the audience can expect during the shows.

“I think the thing that the audience can expect most of all is just a really bright, fun, happy show. It’s really funny and really fun for the whole family to come out to. We’ve worked really hard on making a show that I think will be really enjoyable for everybody to come out and see.”

Playing some of the main roles will be Alexa Nelson as SpongeBob, Riley Sergent as Patrick, Maddy Hollingsworth as Sandy, Hunter Ayers as Squidward, Ethan Jackson as Plankton, and Jesus Gonzales as Mr. Krabs.
