A Jefferson resident was recently named to a distinguished position on a statewide board.

Jefferson Telecom CEO Jamie Daubendiek was elected to serve as the Iowa Communications Alliance Board President. According to a press release, Daubendiek talked about the history of communications and how his family became involved in that industry in the late 1890s and built it into a now fifth generation business in Jefferson.

The ICA CEO Dave Duncan said at the ICA Annual Meeting and Expo that was held in Des Moines from March 25-27, that he has seen the positive impact and influence Daubendiek has had on the state because of his character, integrity and leadership capabilities. Duncan was looking forward to implementing the vision that Daubendiek laid out in his speech.

Daubendiek is a previous graduate of the ICA Leadership Academy in 2019-20. His term as board president runs until March 2025.
