Greene County sends its high school track & field teams to the Carroll Relays today at Carroll Athletic Field. The coed event starts at 4:30 p.m. and there are 11 boys’ teams and 10 girls’ teams in the field.

Iowa school school athletes have 10 more days to post performances that would qualify them for the April 25-26-27 Drake Relays in Des Moines. The Greene County boys have some opportunities to qualify for Drake, including the 1,600 meter medley relay, which stands sixteenth fastest in the state going into this week. The 24 fastest performances submitted by the cutoff date will qualify for Drake. There will be 80 4 x 100 meter relays at Drake and the Rams are 74th fastest going into this week. There will be 24 Sprint Medleys at Drake and the Rams are number 34 with 10 days left to qualify, according to times posted on the statistics website Bound Iowa.

The Paton-Churdan boys are in action today at 4:30 p.m. in Gowrie at the Southeast Valley Invite.
