The Panorama Panther soccer teams hosted the East Sac County Raiders yesterday resulting in a Panther sweep. Both Panther teams came out with a fire as the Panther girls vanquished the Raiders 8-1 and the Panther boys went through the ringer with the Raiders but came out victorious 5-4.
For the Panther girls, everything seemed to be working right the entire match. In the first half, the Panthers scored 5 unanswered goals to set the pace for this match up. After the half, the Panthers would continue to set the tone and dominate, allowing 1 goal but scoring another 3 before the time expired to vanquish the Raiders 8-1.
The boys match up would be more of a nail biter, as Panorama would take the lead in the first period scoring 3 goals while allowing the Raiders to score 2 goals of their own. Holding a one point lead going into the final half, the Panthers would defend and answer back, going goal for goal with the Raiders to secure the one point lead they entered the second half with in an exciting 5-4 victory over the Raiders.
The Panther soccer teams prepare for the Greene County Rams on Monday, April 8th as the girls host the Rams and the boys travel to Greene County with both match ups beginning at 6PM.
