In the March Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Board meeting, one topic that came up was the weight rooms at the high school and junior high buildings.
Superintendent Josh Rasmussen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he wanted to have the topic on the agenda to talk with the Boards about ways to take care of the equipment and facilities.
“Yeah, we really wanted to discuss just kind of the agreement we have just with our memberships, and how do we replace the equipment we currently have or purchase new equipment, or even refurbish or just maintain.”
Rasmussen mentions that administration will be looking into the topic, and trying to find out what they can do. He adds that some ideas that were brought up were to increase the cost of memberships for community members to use the facilities, and put that money back into them to help keep everything in working order and up to date, but that no decision has been made yet.
