Thursday, March 28th

9:43am: Tyler Rysavy of Jefferson reported a possible violation of a Protective Order. The Officer is investigating.

10:41am: Claudette Sherlock of Jefferson reported a loose cow in the 1200 block of South Mulberry Road. The cow’s owner was contacted and removed the animal.

11:07am: Staff with the Greene County Medical Center requested a welfare check on a male in the 400 block of North Oak Street. The Officer assisted as requested.

12:10pm: Staff with the Greene County High School requested an Officer for a fight involving two male students. The Officer assisted the staff and is investigating possible criminal charges.

3:35pm: Julie Keeler of Jefferson reported possible lost or stolen property. The Officer is investigating.

3:39pm: Steven Harms of Jefferson reported a vehicle having been driven carelessly near the intersection of Lincoln Way and Elm Streets. The Officer was unable to locate the reported vehicle.

4:31pm: Staff with the Greene County Medical Center reported a person who came in with a suspected dog bite injury. The Officer responded and found the dog bite had occurred outside of the Jefferson City limits.

11:00pm: Jamie Wade of Jefferson spoke with a city Officer in reference to civil law questions. The Officer answered these questions.

Friday, March 29th

7:47am: An Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Oak Street for a suspected Domestic Abuse Assault having occurred. As a result of the investigation, Jeremy Beason of Jefferson was placed under arrest for Domestic Abuse Assault – 1st Offense.

9:01am: Ashley Spualding of Jefferson reported harassment by phone occurring. The Officer spoke with all parties involved and told them to end the contact.

3:09pm: Staff with Fareway reported an incident of shoplifting having occurred. The Officer is investigating.

1:52pm: Jefferson Police Officers provided traffic control for horseback riders with “The Pony Express” as they came into Jefferson.

8:28pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Crew with a medical call in the 100 block of North Olive Street.

9:07pm: Loretta Cook of Jefferson reported two juvenile males knocking on door and cursing in the 200 block of North Elm Street. The Officer located the two involved and addressed the situation.

Saturday, March 30th

1:49am: An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of North Grimmell. As a result of the traffic stop, Darrin Gordon of Jefferson was placed under arrest for “Operating While Under the Influence – 1st Offense” and “Open Container – Driver”

3:07am: Staff with the Greene County Medical Center requested an Officer to assist with an unruly person in the emergency room area. The Officer responded and calmed the person. Later the ER staff called again asking the person now be removed. The Officer responded and escorted the person off the property.

7:22am: An Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South West Street for a residential burglary alarm. The Officer checked the property and found it secure. The Properties owner was notified of this.

9:28am: Sonya Menefee of Pauls Valley, OK, spoke with an Officer in reference to a Civil dispute over a vehicle. She was told to speak with a Civil Law Attorney.

11:49am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of North Grimmell Road/ West Wall Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Sheila Stevens of Scranton was issued a citation for “Violation of Financial Liability Coverage”

12:09pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 1000 block of West Adams Street.

5:11pm: An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Eric Ireland of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Violation of Financial Liability Coverage”

9:32pm: John Ades of Rippey reported having hit a deer with his truck near the intersection of Highway 4 and 260th Street. The vehicle was undamaged and the Officer removed the deer from the roadway.

Sunday, March 31st

2:54am: While on patrol a Jefferson Officer located an unsecured business gate in the 200 block of West McKinley. The Officer found nothing suspicious and secured the property.

9:26am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of 220th Street / North Mulberry Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Kane Borgeson of Scranton was issued a citation for “Dark Windows”

9:59am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Westwood Drive and Linwood Avenue. As a result of the traffic strop, Joshua Paddock was issued citations for “Excessive Speed” and “Driving While License Suspended”

1:09pm: Staff with the Greene County Medical Center requested an Officer to assist with an unruly patient. The Officer responded and assisted as requested.

2:02pm: The Greene County Dispatch received an abandoned 911 call. The call mapped in the 500 block of West Madison Street. The Officer found the source of the call and found it was accidental.

3:17pm: James Hoyle reported two vehicles had been burglarized in the 700 block of South Locust Street. The Officer is investigating.

7:26pm: Staff with the Greene County Medical Center requested an Officer to assist with an unruly patient. The Officer responded and assisted as requested.

7:51pm: An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Thomas Ganoe of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

Monday, April 1st

9:31am: An Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of East Central Street for a squirrel having bit a person. The Officer caught the squirrel and it will be sent in for rabies testing.

9:44am: An Officer was requested to assist the Department of Human Services with a Child Custody Dispute in Jefferson. The Officer assisted as requested.

12:13pm: Danielle Barron of Jefferson reported the attempted burglary to a vehicle in the 700 block of South Chestnut Street. The vehicle was locked and entry was not gained. The Officer is investigating.

5:08pm: Tanner Lawton of Jefferson reported a person walking in the 300 block of North Elm Street not wearing shoes. The Officer checked the area and found no one in need of assistance.

6:00pm: An Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of American Avenue for a business alarm activation. The Officer checked the property and found the alarm was accidental.
