The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Soccer team traveled to Perry as they needed additional time to skate past the Perry Bluejays.
The Tigers came into Monday’s game after getting a narrow 2-1 victory at North Polk High School after falling behind in the first half. ADM was on the road again last night in Perry and it was an exciting game. Another low scoring gritty game for both teams, which were tied at one in the second half. The game headed into two extra periods consisting of 10 minute segments.
The first frame saw both sides have opportunities but both goalies did an outstanding defensive job. The second frame was more back and forth and with about five minutes left, Sophomore Cael Orban attempted to shot a one on one goal and Perry’s goalie interfered with him, setting up a penalty kick. Senior Peyton Meier took and capitalized on the kick to give the Tigers the 2-1 win against Perry.
Perry will be back in action tonight at home hosting PCM at 7pm, weather permitting. ADM will host a tournament on Friday, playing Van Meter at 6:30pm.
The Bluejays are now 0-3 overall and ADM is 2-0 overall (1-0 Raccoon River Conference).
